It is a beautiful fishermen village with lots of traditional little taverns offering visitors fresh fish caught by the nearby sea. From the bus station exists twice daily a bus connection to Malia,Neapolis, Heraklion and further then over the whole island reaching places like Elounda, Rethymnon, Knossos, Chania Ierapetra, Lassithi Plateau, Anogia, Zaros etc..
