Rhodes

Rhodes

Blessed by the Sun God Helios, Rhodes has an average of 300 days of glorious sunshine every year, which is what you want to hear when you’re planning a wedding. A land of contrasts offering secluded coves, golden sandy beaches, lively nightlife and centuries of history, it's little wonder that Rhodes is such a popular wedding destination! Civil wedding ceremonies can take place in a variety of venues, which we’ve given you a taster of below, ranging from town halls, luxurious hotels and quaint tavernas.

Stroll arm in arm through the narrow, cobbled streets of Rhodes with your loved one and explore the impressive medieval old town with its impressive walls and magnificent fortress. Kalathos is perfect for those couples seeking peace and quiet with its long shingle beach while Lindos offers dazzling whitewashed houses, crystal clear waters and is crowned with a magnificent ancient Acropolis.

Please Note: For weddings in Rhodes, the minimum residency is 7 days and due to new paperwork procedures, the wedding couple must reside in resort for at least 3 days after the wedding.

Renewal of Vows

Why not renew your wedding vows in lovely Rhodes? The ceremony will be performed by the registrar of Lindos, costing the same as a civil wedding ceremony. The only documents required are your original marriage certificate and copies of your passport details. We can arrange this when the holiday duration is at least 7 nights. Renewal of Vows (civil) can also take place in the Kallithea Spa or in Lindos, at St Paul’s Bay, Atrium Palace and Lindos Mare Hotel.

Rhodes Town Hall

Covers couples staying in Afandou, Faliraki, Ixia, Rhodes Town, Kalithea and Kremasti. Your ceremony will take place facing the Mandraki Harbour where the ancient Colossus of Rhodes one stood, offering a wonderfully romantic atmosphere and a perfect backdrop to your special day. The perfect venue for a simple but elegant wedding in the cosmopolitan old town of Rhodes.

St Paul’s Bay

Covers couples staying in Kalathos, Lindos, Afandou and Pefkos. Your ceremony will take place in front of St Paul’s Bay Chapel. The chapel is located on the south side of Lindos and sits by the water’s edge, providing a perfect setting for your wedding photographs.

St Apostollo (Kallithea Municipality)

This quaint little white and blue chapel is located just by the harbour in Faliraki Bay, perched on the harbour wall.  Your ceremony will take place in a very scenic spot, surrounded by the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea. Golden sands and small bobbing fishing boats complete the picturesque scene of this charming venue. The attractive St Apostolo Chapel offers a truly romantic setting for a beautiful wedding.

Filerimos (Ialyssos Municipality)

The old monastery of Filerimos is located high in the beautiful Filerimos mountains in the Trianda area. This historic monastery offers the ultimate place to exchange your vows as your ceremony will take place at the foot of a magnificent stone cross with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and Turkey. On a clear day you can also see the Greek islands of Symi and Nissyros.

Dating back to the early 14th Century, the Monastery is surrounded by rich forests, beautiful woodland and wildlife. With fantastic views of the sea, this is the ideal wedding venue for those wanting a romantic ceremony in natural surroundings, for unforgettable memories of your special day.

Kallithea Spa (Kallithea Municipality)

Restored Italian spa situated in Kallithea, which in English means 'good view'. As well as providing great views, the spa is close to the sea and is located on the east coast between Rhodes Town and Faliraki. The springs which were once famous for their healing waters are steeped in history. This wonderful venue provides architectural and natural beauty with a rugged coastline as a dramatic backdrop.

The wedding ceremony is held in one of the most impressive areas within the Spa with views of the sea and bougainvillea cascading through the arches. To prove what a special place this is, located in the centre of the springs is a statue of the Greek God of Love - Eros. This is an ideal choice for a stylish wedding.
