Things to do in Gambia
Senegal Fathala Park
The Fathala Game Park is located just 12 km north of the Gambian Senegalese border. Your day begins with an early morning hotel pickup, followed by a drive to Banjul, the capital, where you’ll board the ferry to Barra. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere on the ferry as you travel across the River Gambia for about an hour.
Upon arrival in Barra, you’ll continue by road through several villages to reach the Amdalaye/Karang border post, where passport formalities are completed. Once in Senegal, the journey continues to Fathala Park. Upon arrival, an open army truck will be waiting to take you on an exciting two-hour safari through the natural bushland.
This is a great opportunity to spot wildlife such as giraffes, rhinoceroses, zebras, monkeys, and more in their natural habitat. After the safari, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch and drink before heading back to the border and catching the ferry to Banjul.
