Weddings in Cyprus
Olympic Holidays can arrange Anglican or Catholic church weddings or offer ceremonies in settings ranging from registry offices and hotels to yachts, a museum or a beautiful Paphos estate.
♥ We can also arrange civil weddings under special licence, which will be conducted in English by a Marriage Officer or Mayor.
♥ For an Anglican ceremony, conducted by a chaplain, one of the couple must provide a certificate of baptism in the Name of the Trinity through a standard Christian church. Divorcees can be remarried, subject to a chaplain’s approval – ask us for details. Anglican weddings can also be held in the grounds of some hotels which are stunning venues.
♥ For couples who want simplicity, a wedding ceremony in Paphos Town Hall is a recommendation.
♥ Before a Catholic wedding, a civil ceremony must be held in a registry office, usually the previous day. Our weddings department can advise on the paperwork required between the priest, his diocese and the Vicar General in Nicosia, whose written permission is needed, and you take it to the resort. Only one of you needs to be of the Catholic faith, but both need a baptism certificate, and divorcees may not enter a Catholic wedding. Contact us on 020 8492 6789 or email email@example.com for the address of the Vicar General and full details.
