Archontiko Angelou is a beautiful historic villa in Alinda, Leros, built in 1895 by Aikaterini Cambouropoulos for her daughter, Marika. It was designed by an Austrian architect and set in a lovely rose garden surrounded by vineyards. Around 1930, the villa was updated with balconies, a small tower, and a new staircase.
The Angelou family, who lived in Egypt, used it as a summer home for many years. Lolos, Marika’s grandson and today’s owner, turned the villa into a hotel in the 1970s after living abroad and serving in WWII.

Room 1 (20m2) sleeps up to 2 persons featuring a twin bed, private bathroom with shower, free WiFi, air conditioning, hairdryer, bath amenities, towels and fridge. Located in the northeast corner offers views into the garden and the orchard.
Room 2 (20m2) sleeps up to 2 persons featuring a twin bed, private bathroom with shower and has windows on the north and west side of the house and a very small yet charming private balcony hidden in an acacia. Located on the first floor. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Room 3 (15m2) sleeps up to 2 persons featuring a double bed, private bathroom with shower. The room is located on the first floor and facing west. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Room 4 (20m2) sleeps up to 3 persons featuring a queen size bed and an antique sleigh bed, private bathroom with shower. The room faces south on to the small vineyard and west and like room 2 has a small balcony. All the other facilities are as per Room 1. The room is located on the first floor.
Room 7 (20m2) sleeps up to 2 persons featuring two twin beds, private bathroom with shower. The room is located on the lower level hidden from the sun and is ideal for guests who require cooler surroundings. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Room 8 (22m2) sleeps up to 3 persons featuring three beds, private bathroom with shower. Located on the ground floor and has a charming alcove with three windows that can be used as a sofa or a third bed. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Room 5 & 6 (35m2) sleeps up to 4 persons featuring three beds, private bathroom with shower. The suite combines the octagon shaped Room 6 located in the tower structure, with the spacious Room 5. Room 6 added to the south east corner of the house around 1930, features windows on three walls making it bright and airy. From its queen size bed, guests can enjoy the views of the gardens. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Suite 9&10 (35m2) sleeps up to 4 persons featuring a double bed and two sofa beds, private bathroom with shower. The suite is located on the ground floor and the layout is more like a bedroom - sitting room combination and has the immediacy of the garden. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
Katikia (15m2) sleeps up to 2 persons featuring a double bed and sofa bed, bathroom with shower and is located in a charming stone built building at the back of the main house. All the other facilities are as per Room 1.
