One of the best ways to experience Agistri is by sea. Small boats and water taxis operate from Skala and Megalochori, offering island tours, swimming trips and transfers to secluded beaches and coves inaccessible by road. Popular stops include Dragonera, Aponisos and hidden snorkeling spots around the coastline.

The nearest and most common day trip from Agistri is to Aegina, only a short ferry or water taxi ride away. Visitors often travel there to explore the Temple of Aphaia, the Monastery of Agios Nektarios and the lively harbour town. Frequent ferries connect Skala with Aegina throughout the summer.

Agistri’s calm turquoise waters are ideal for kayaking and paddle excursions. Guided sea-kayak tours explore caves, rocky coastline and pine-fringed beaches, often including snorkeling stops.

The island also offers scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing excursions.

Although small, Agistri has beautiful inland routes through pine forests and quiet hillsides. Walking trails connect beaches such as Dragonera and Aponisos with villages including Limenaria and Megalochori. Hiking excursions are especially attractive in spring and early autumn when temperatures are cooler - if you decide to take a hike/walk whilst on holiday, please make sure you take all necessary preparations such as taking plenty of water, wearing a hat / loose-light clothing, sturdy shoes/boots and a fully charged telephone with your hotel number in your contacts.

Bicycle hire is another way to explore a little more of Agistri, there are a couple of offices in Skala.
