Sivota (on the mainland opposite Corfu) is one of the most underrated beach areas in Greece — people often call it the“Caribbean of Greece” because of its insanely clear turquoise water and tiny green islands.
Here are the best beaches, explained simply so you know what to expect:
This is the one everyone goes for first. It’s famous because you can literally walk through shallow water to a small island — it feels unique and a bit surreal. The water is bright turquoise and very calm, and it’s one of the most iconic spots in the whole area.
This is the “wow” swimming spot. It’s not really a beach but a sheltered bay with glass-clear water that looks like a swimming pool. You usually reach it by boat, and it’s perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
One of the easiest and most popular beaches near town. It’s larger, organised, and great if you want a comfortable day with sunbeds and food, but still with very clear water.
Right next to Mega Ammos but smaller and more stylish. It’s known for beach bars and a more relaxed, slightly livelier atmosphere.
A really scenic beach with an island just offshore that you can swim to. It feels more “Greek postcard” than busy resort and is great if you want something a bit quieter.
These are smaller beaches close to town. Zeri is good for families with shallow water, while Zavia is surrounded by greenery and feels more hidden.
A more natural, less crowded spot with pebbles and deep blue water that’s amazing for swimming and snorkelling. Often visited by boat.
These are only accessible by boat and feel like private beaches. The water is extremely clear and the whole coastline around the small islands is full of these little hidden spots.
