Parga

A picturesque seaside town about 30–40 minutes from Sivota, Parga is one of the most popular nearby spots to visit. It has a colourful harbour, a hilltop castle with views over the bay, and a lively atmosphere with plenty of restaurants, shops, and beaches. It’s ideal for a day trip combining sightseeing and swimming.

Perdika

A traditional inland village just a short drive from Sivota. It offers a more local, authentic feel with a central square, tavernas, and quiet surroundings. Nearby are some of the area’s best beaches, including Karavostasi, which is known for its wide sandy bay and clear water.

Plataria

A small coastal village located between Igoumenitsa and Sivota. It’s quieter and less developed, with a relaxed harbour, a few tavernas, and a local feel. It’s a good place for a peaceful lunch stop or a slower-paced alternative to Sivota.

Igoumenitsa

The main port town in the area, about 25 minutes away. While it’s more functional than scenic, it’s useful for shopping, cafés, and a glimpse of everyday local life. It also has some waterfront areas worth a short stroll.

Syvota Islands (Mourtemeno, Bella Vraka area)

Just off the coast of Sivota itself are small islands and beaches that feel like mini destinations. Bella Vraka Beach, in particular, is known for its shallow sandbank that allows you to walk across to an island, creating a unique and memorable experience.

Karavostasi Beach Area

Near Perdika, this is one of the standout beach locations in the region. The setting is wide and open, with soft sand and clear water, making it popular for a more relaxed beach day away from the smaller coves of Sivota.

Acheron River (Gliki)

Around an hour’s drive inland, this is a very different type of excursion. The Acheron River is set in a green valley where you can walk or wade through cool, shallow water between cliffs and trees. It’s known for its natural beauty and slightly adventurous feel.

Paramythia

A small inland town with a more traditional Greek character. It’s not heavily touristy, but it offers a look at local life, old streets, and a quieter atmosphere if you want to see beyond the coast.

Overall

The area around Sivota offers a mix of coastal towns, beaches, and a few inland villages, all within relatively easy reach. Parga is the most lively and scenic nearby resort, while places like Perdika and Plataria provide a more peaceful and authentic experience.
