Arkassa is a coastal town in the southwest of the Greek Island of Karpathos.
Trek to the top of the hill of Paleiokastro for sublime sea views. The area around Arkassa has some spectacular sights, with wonderful beaches like the well-maintained Aghios Nikoalos, with sandy shores and a restaurant and snack bar, the beach is only 500 metres from the centre of Arkassa. Shallow waters lap the white sands which are great for families. Marmara Beach has two beaches – one with sand and the other with pebbles and the can be reached by the road that leads to the ancient Acropolis.
