Set amongst 20 acres of beautiful gardens in a peaceful hillside setting, Hotel Ionian Sea offers a relaxed base for a fun-filled family holiday in Kefalonia. The hotel is around 150 metres from a sandy beach with turquoise waters, reached downhill via a rural road, while the town of Lixouri is approximately 7 km away.
There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, including an aqua park with five water slides, two swimming pools, a separate children’s pool, playground and mini club for ages 4–12 years. Guests can also make the most of the sports facilities, outdoor gym and a varied entertainment programme with activities for both adults and children.
For dining, the buffet restaurant serves a selection of dishes featuring organic produce grown in the hotel’s own fields. There are also two pool bars for drinks and refreshments throughout the day, as well as a convenient mini market and souvenir shop on site.

Double Room Ionian Sea sleeps up to 3 persons featuring double or twin bed with an extra bed to accommodate the third guest, bathroom with bath or shower, air conditioning, free WiFi, hairdryer, safety deposit box (payable locally), tea and coffee making facilities, LCD TV, mini fridge and balcony or terrace. Located in the main building or Building B.
Family Room Ionian Sea sleeps up to 4 persons featuring double or twin beds and an additional beds for extra guests. There is a bathroom with bath or shower and balcony or terrace. All the other facilities are as per the Double Room Ionian Sea. Located in the main building, Building B or Buildings 1-7. Superior Family Room Thalassa is also available at a supplement.
All Inclusive
The All Inclusive programme includes buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Main Restaurant.
Breakfast (07:30-10:00). Lunch (13:00 -14:30). Dinner (19:00 -21:30).
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy hot and cold snacks, desserts and ice creams from the Snack Bar, open from 10:00–18:00. Drinks and refreshments are also available from selected hotel bars during their opening hours.
An a la carte restaurant serving Mediterranean and Italian cuisine is available from 12:00–16:00. Reservations are required and additional charges apply.
Early breakfast is available on request, while lunch boxes can be arranged through reception by 18:00 the previous day.
