If you're holidaying en-famille, rest assured there's plenty to keep the little ones amused. If you don't fancy a day in Luna Park or Faliraki Water Park, you could try one of the island's numerous well-equipped playgrounds, for example Passagio in Rhodes Town which has swings and slides, a skateboard ramp, giant trampoline, play area, sand pit, and a snack bar for Mum and Dad to watch from over a coffee. Or there's Aktaion, opposite Mandraki Harbour in Rhodes Town, designed for toddlers with soft rubber ground covering, swings and slides and a giant pirate ship. Again there is a cafe on hand for refreshments.
All children love to ride on miniature trains and The Red Mini Train runs every hour between 9.30am and 4.30pm for a 45-minute tour of the walls of the Old Town, climbing up to the citadel to Monte Smith and returning via the town centre to the aquarium, ending at the Town Hall.
