MAMMA MIA! - The Movie Highlights

The day sets off at 09.00 driving along the West coast of the island and then across to visit the beautiful Saint John’s Chapel, also known as the MAMMA MIA wedding church. Here there is time to walk up the 199 steps or just enjoy a drink in one of the nearby cafes. Afterwards you will learn about Skopelos olive oil, making a short stop at the Antonio family olive press.

Our next stop is at Kastani beach for more information about the film and relaxation. The final stop will be at Agnontas beach where you can swim in the crystal-clear waters or enjoy lunch in one of the seaside taverns. Returning to Skopelos harbour we will pass by The Cape of Amarantos, the so-called site of the 3 trees.

                    Secret Skopelos

Our walk begins after a short coach trip to Chora. Starting at the remains of a Venetian Castle, gradually making our way down to the church “Panagista of Pirgos stopping to admire the views over to Alonissos. During the walk you will learn about the town’s history, architecture, local life-both past and present.

We follow the narrow and winding streets, stopping at points of interest until we reach the commercial area, here we have a chance to sample “Prunia” a liqueur made from the famous Skopelos plums. We continue through the town until we arrive back at the port where our walk ends.

                    Natural Beauty of Skopelos

Our adventure through the green and blue island begins when we leave Skopelos town at 09:00. As the coach winds up the demanding roads, spectacular views can be seen whilst we climb to a height of 340m in the area known as Pirgos.

From here our route follows a pleasant downhill track (approx 6kms) from the local vineyard. Walking through breathtaking scenery filled with olive, cypress, fig, and pine trees. It is estimated that Skopelos has between 5 to 8 million pines and a wide variety of flowers and plants, including orchids. Our hike will include views of Pelion on the Greek mainland, the Island of Evia, and the Pagasetic Gulf.

The destination of our route is Panormos, where you have the option to relax on the beach or have some lunch.
