Best beaches on Tilos
Eristos Beach
The island’s classic beach and probably the best all-around choice. Long stretch of sand and pebbles, shallow water, tamarisk shade, and a relaxed atmosphere. One section is organized with umbrellas while other parts stay completely natural. Great for sunset and easy swimming.
Livadia Beach
Right beside the port town, so it’s the easiest beach without needing transport. Pebbly but very clear water, with trees for shade and tavernas nearby. Best for quick swims, families, or staying close to cafés.
Plaka Beach
Quiet and peaceful, known for peacocks wandering around the trees near the beach. Mostly pebbles with crystal-clear water. Good if you want a calm half-day stop.
Lethra Beach
A secluded beach reached by hiking trail or boat. Smaller and wilder than Eristos, with excellent snorkeling and almost no development. One of the best spots if you like isolated swimming.
Agios Antonios Beach
In a tiny fishing settlement on the north side of the island. Pebbly, quiet, and shaded by tamarisks and palms. Nice stop combined with lunch in the village.
Tholos Beach
Remote and dramatic with colored rock formations around the bay. Usually accessed by boat. Bring water and shade because there are no facilities.
